After working on it for several weeks, I finished this doily on May 5, 2004. I used size 30 Clark's Big Ball 3 cord mercerized white crochet thread with a Boye size 10 steel hook. It came out 13 inches across when blocked but not stretched.

The pattern was easy to understand and it was a pleasure to work it. The stitches are not complex but the design, a motif of a four petal clusters inside a hexagonal matrix in an inner circle and in the 18 spokes, is delightful. This is a continuation of my fascination with working in finer thread.
